Oct. 6, 2005: NPR rescheduled Greg's commentary on Katrina, so The Strength Coach's thoughts about making rebuilt homes "visitable" will air this Sunday. Meanwhile, Greg is maintaining his active schedule. This coming week, he will be working in Chicago and Florida.
Sept. 30, 2005: Greg invites listeners to hear his NPR commentary about rebuilding Gulf Coast communities with access in mind. Mike Ervin hosts this week's show with Eleanor Smith, founder of Concrete Change.
Sept. 22, 2005: Refusing to let Hurricane Katrina defeat him, The Strength Coach keeps on speaking! The Ohio nonprofit AME Church that Greg is attending now and has attended in the past with his family has agreed to accept donations for the Smith family.

June 15, 2005: The award-winning PBS documentary film, "On A Roll: Family, Disability and the American Dream," will be presented at the National Association of Black Journalists 30th Anniversary Convention Film Festival, Aug. 3-7, 2005, at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta. Corporate sponsorship of the screening is available for one company looking for exposure to 3,000 journalists from across the nation.
June 9, 2005: Tim Swieckowski is founding president of Dream Quest Adventurers Inc. After breaking his neck in a bicycle accident, he became an archaeological researcher who coordinates shipwreck discovery operations. Also, Greg covers the subject of summer fun!

Aug. 22, 2004: John Wooden is a coach with records that some sports authorities expect will remain unbroken. Among his many accomplishments, he has 10 NCAA Men’s Basketball Championships, 16 appearances in the Final Four, which is the most of any coach, and four perfect seasons, in 1964, 1967, 1972 and 1973. As a keeper of maxims, Wooden can offer words on adversity, teamwork and perseverance.
Aug. 15, 2004: Hear about Greg Smith's big splash at "UNITY: Journalists of Color," a national conference representing 7,000 media professionals of color in Washington, D.C. He shook the hand of the President of the United States, and asked Time Warner CEO Dick Parsons about the lack of people with disabilities in the media. His question received thunderous applause from the more than 200 journalists in the room and an honest response from one of the most powerful men in media.
Aug. 8, 2004: Spencer Haywood converses about the triumphs and tragedies of his life. On the court, Haywood was so dominating that no one could guard him. He averaged more than 20 points per game in the first five seasons of his NBA career including 29.2 ppg in 1972-73. His tragedies include drug addiction, divorce from his supermodel wife Iman, and the erasure of his legacy as a pioneering leader for today's stars in the mold of LaBraun James and Kobe Bryant.
