On a recent in-shore fishing trip for speckle trout near Horn Island, we really got into a school of large white trout instead. The conditions were "just right" with a good steady moving tide. During a two hour period we boated 120 white trout using our "special" bait and rig combo. Believe it or not but one of my clients actually caught two trout on one (1) hook and landed them both. We switched to a tandem rig set-up and started landing trout two at a time on most cast.

Fishing on the Be-Slick this season has been really successful and lots fun. We caught many limits of red snapper, amber jacks, cobia, king mackerel, red fish and Spanish mackerel.

Captain Jim and a few friends just returned from Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. We caught and released 4 strip marlin of which one was a black marlin. We landed 16 yellow fin tuna, 9 wahoo and 57 dolphin fish (mahi-mahi).
since I lose many of my mounts to Hurricane Katrina, I am having my marlin (replica) mounted

If you are interested in these types of fish, we can get you onto similar type fishing on the "Lump" near the mouth of the Mississippi River. Call for timing and rates.

The fishing is really picking up on red fish and speckled trout. Call or email us to schedule a trip
