"The Strength Coach
Radio Show airs Sunday evenings at 11 p.m. Eastern Time on the Radio America
Network.
This week's show: Dr. Jill Waggoner, COO of South
Texas Medical Center, lends practical medical wisdom for women. She was one of the first
African-American cheerleaders for the Dallas Cowboys. Now, Dallas native, Dr. Jill Waggoner,
blazes new trails this month with the release of her first book, "My Sister's Keeper: Is Your
Temple in Order?" Instituting a new genre of medical-motivational-self-help books, Dr. Waggoner
is one of the first African-American authors to merge practical medical principles with

Building a Winning Team, One Teammate at a Time:
I'll do about 30 round-trip
flights this year. What gives me energy after landing is the anticipation of getting home and
sleeping in my own bed. Recently, I arrived in New Orleans and was looking forward to
beginning the two hour drive to my home in Ocean Springs, Miss.
When my power wheelchair was delivered to the area where the jetway meets the aircraft's open
door, I made an alarming discovery. The ground crew had broken the "on/off" toggle switch that
operates the chair! There was no way to turn on the chair, which meant that I was helpless. I
couldn't roll the chair, and it was too late in the evening to call for service. A guy named
John Still was the customer service manager on duty for Southwest Airlines. He and his staff
pushed me to the baggage service area where we made calls to find emergency wheelchair repair
help. None was available.
