About Joseph Grenny
Joseph Grenny has consulted with thousands of leaders on every major continent from the board
rooms of Fortune 500 companies to the slums of Nairobi, Kenya. During the past 20 years he has
been an advisor to CEOs and senior executives on more than a dozen major change initiatives –
including one with Lockheed Martin Aeronautics whose CEO credited Joseph’s work with enabling
their winning of the $200 billion Joint Strike Fighter program. Joseph was formerly president
of California Computer Corporation and an executive for the Covey Leadership Center. Joseph is
coauthor of the New York Times Bestseller Crucial Conversations: Tools for Talking When Stakes
are High. His newest release, Crucial Confrontations: Tools for Resolving Broken Promises,
Violated Expectations, and Bad Behavior, will be published by McGraw-Hill in September, 2004.
Joseph co-founded Unitus, a non-profit organization that helps third world poor achieve
economic self-reliance.
About Al Switzler
Al Switzler has worked with more than 250 organizations on topics including leadership, quality,
communication and personal achievement. Al has served as president of two consulting firms,
vice president of marketing for an information firm and director of training and management
development for a health-care organization. Al is on the faculty at the University of Michigan
Executive Development Center. He has taught at the Marriott School of Management at Brigham
Young University, at Auburn University and also at the University of Kentucky. Al is coauthor
of the New York Times Bestseller Crucial Conversations: Tools for Talking When Stakes are High.
