Who/what contributed to your inner strength?
While I truly believe that every experience I have ever had has sculpted and shaped my inner strength, the most identifiable are the following:
1. My wife, Pratiksha
2. My daughter, Nia
3, My mother
4. My angel, Ray
5. My best friend, Tom, who is presently in a coma.
6. The passing of my father 10 years ago
7. Awakening to paralysis 19 years ago
8. Nelson Mandela
9. His Holiness, The Dalai Lama
When in your life was your inner strength particularly tested and how did you deal with the incident?
About seven years ago, when I was practically "reborn," I had my most powerful test. It was
nearly 10 years after I was first paralyzed and was just embarking on my first world tour ...
great job, making great money, girlfriends, great family, great friends ... but I had yet to face
my paralysis. I faced it in this year.
What suggestions do you have to help people realize their capabilities?
1. Find a Life Coach, counselor, therapist, etc. We all need help in this world and the world
is here to support us. Why go at it all alone?
2. Find balance ... in everything life has to offer.
3. Dream, Believe and Work to achieve!
Why is it important to focus on inner strength?
It is the foundation of our very essence, our very being. Without it, we have no navigational
system.
What are your next goals and what positive thoughts or activities keep you striving toward your goals?
Writing a book. I just finished a reality television program pilot in which I was the
"Motivational Coach" on a panel of five experts. I want to bring the show to many of the major
networks. I also want to team with Greg Smith and become the "Diversity Duo" and increase my
volunteer efforts to make more of a positive difference in this world.
