Is Your Family G-rated?
I've learned that we get stronger when we lift the weights of life's challenges. Success in the face of difficulty leads to confidence necessary to take on even greater challenges. And it cycles. More success, more challenges, more confidence.
Perhaps the greatest challenge in the world is the responsibility parents have to raise well-adjusted, moral, decent human beings. Raising kids has never been easy, especially in the world today. Unfortunately we, the media, don't always help parents.
A recent study by the Kaiser Foundation scrutinized 1,000 shows and found nearly 4,000 scenes with sexual content, more than double the number from the same study in 1998. Nearly 70% of all shows averaged about five sex scenes per hour. And I'm not even started with research that shows violence, murder, blood and gore.
Raising a G-Rated Family in an X-Rated World!
In their new book, "Raising a G-Rated Family in an X-Rated World," Brent and Phelecia Hatch, parents of seven, offer a whole new set of parenting skills and tactics specially designed for deployment by busy parents facing today’s issues. While the media sends some strange and startling messages to our children like sex without a long-term relationship is okay and violence is a way to handle problems, this week's guests can help you address these issues. Just tune into The Strength Coach program.

It is very rewarding to hear from people who have read the book and have great things to say. People from all walks of life have written to me in response. I'm getting a lot of feedback from parents who have young children with disabilities and from professionals in the rehabilitation field. And, needless to say, people with disabilities find it entertaining and relevant. Get your copy online today for yourself or for a friend.
