Greg heads to Doha, Qatar, the "City of Balance"!
Greg will be in Doha, Qatar, for the 2nd Annual International Forum hosted by the Shafallah Center for Children with Special Needs. The event, running from April 23-25, will take an innovative approach to international alliance and current trends on the right to education for children with special needs. Policymakers, educators, people with disabilities, and leaders in the field, including Greg, will discuss how perceptions of disability are formed and transformed through media, creative arts and education. Greg looks forward to discussions of media as a positive change agent and behind-the-scenes tours of the world-class Shafallah Center. Stay tuned for details about his most exciting trip.

How to Choose a Speaker for Your Event
A professional speaker will ask questions about the needs of your audience and what they can accomplish for you. Ask your candidates for references and, if they are speaking in your area, ask if you can attend the program and observe them in action. Make sure that a potential speaker has addressed groups similar to yours. Talk with them about their experience. Ask for a biography, testimonials and videos of their presentations, preferably before a live audience. Find a speaker who will tailor his or her presentation to your group.
If you hire a professional you'll hire an ally. Professional speakers understand that your reputation is riding on their performance. Their experience with hundreds of audiences can add to your peace of mind and to the success of the event. When selecting your speaker, consider that you are not only paying for the time the speaker is on the platform but also for the hours spent researching, preparing and customizing the presentation.
Finally, don’t bore you audience. Often, industry, market and community leaders have great expertise for your attendees, but they lack the presentation skills necessary to excite, stimulate and thrill the audience. For a keynote address, you need someone who will inspire. You need someone who will touch your audience emotionally. You need Greg Smith, The Strength Coach! Call me now at 877-331-7563.
Greg's work is supported by the Mississippi Council on Developmental Disabilities. Does your state's DD Council support disability media initiatives? Why not? To find out how, call 1-877-331-7563.
