Terri's Fight
Please visit
http://www.terrisfight.org today to learn what you can do to help save the life of Terri
Schiavo. Our correspondent, professional speaker and author Kate Adamson will be a keynote
speaker at a vigil and press conference Saturday afternoon outside of the Hospice where Terri
Schiavo lives.
Check back this weekend for a series of reports from Kate as she participates in
the movement to keep Terri Schiavo from being starved to death by the removal of her feeding
tube. Kate and Terri's stories have similarities. In 1995, at just 33, Kate sustained a
brainstem stroke that left her with a condition called "locked in syndrome." She was completely
paralyzed, unable to even blink her eyes. Kate beat one-in-a-hundred odds just to survive; then
beat the one-in-a-million odds to regain mobility and function.

Mike Ervin's public radio commentary on the movie "Million Dollar Baby"
"Strengthening America"
That's the mission of The Strength Coach team. We know it is a lofty goal, but we are
up to the challenge. We'll achieve our objective in two ways:
Strengthening the Individual --
We'll deliver resources, insight and strategies for more effective living and personal
development. Inner strength is built by "working out with the weights of life's challenges."
In team sports, each individual player must be in shape, know the playbook, and show up on game
day focused on victory. We'll help you build your inner strength for victory on this site,
on the radio,
in our publications
and personal appearances.
Strengthening the Team -- It's not all about you. It is also about making sure that
your teammates are as productive as they can be. The greatest potential we have for victory is
the understanding, acceptance and insight we can all gain by embracing the viewpoints of
teammates who are different. In football, running backs don't hate linemen because they're
different. They encourage them to BE different and they depend on the unique skills that come
directly from those differences. We'll inspire you to embrace diversity as a way to build team
strength in America.

Upcoming Guests:
Producer Mike Ervin is trying to book attorney James Schottel Jr. as a Strength Coach guest.
He is the attorney with a spinal cord injury who convinced producers of NBC's "The Apprentice" to
be more inclusive of people with disabilities. Was this a good move on Schottel's part? Tell me your thoughts.
